

LG and Costco refused to repair or replace the refrigerator and said that there is no warranty. Appliances are of high cost, especially refrigerator is the highest cost appliance and are expected to last at least 15-20 years of service. This is clearly a manufacturing defect and design issue in LG refrigerators and LG Engineers also confirmed this. LG customer service said they escalated this issue, but there is no help from LG in replacing or fixing this unit. Now we have had no refrigerator for four weeks. So far we lost total food three times with this refrigerator. The LG technician left without repairing and fixing it. The technician contacted LG Engineers and they decided that this can't be patched and can't be repaired. This time technician detected the leak in the freon line on the other end of the door. After contacting LG and explaining the issue, finally LG sent a technician. The fix done in 2019 worked for some time and again now on 8th September 2022, the refrigerator stopped cooling.
